I know that some of you on here dig metal running the gamut from traditional to the more extreme forms, as well as Celtic and other European forms of folk music, so I thought that the prospect of a band that fuses these genres would generate some interest.

A friend of mine recently got the chance to see this ensemble on tour with Dying Fetus, Kataklysm, and Keep Of Kalessin (death metal, death metal, black metal) and informed me that Eluveitie easily stole the show and won over a huge throng of new fans.

Here's a video for the song Inis Mona, taken off of their most recent album "Slania".  Enjoy!

I liked it. I gotta find some more, I'm pretty sure they're going to have a song I really like somewhere.

Ditto!  Been on a mad hunt for everything that they've recorded.

I mean come's a heavy as hell band with a great sense of melody and a female playing a hurdy-gurdy.

That's fucking metal.

Oh baby, that was awesome! I can totally see them being an amazing live show. I think I'll be hunting for more as well.
