Potterdam Arena
The Nevada Desert
July 23rd, 2000
(The lights in the arena are out. Slowly, a group of robed men make their way down the isle to the ring, chanting in latin. The lead man has a candleabra of lit candles, providing the only light in the picture. They reach the ring and encircle it, chanting and occasionally throwing powder on the ground. After a moment, then men stop chanting, and a light above the ring shines down, illuminating a strange symbol superimposed over the EFW logo. The lights then abruptly come up, and the crowd goes nuts!!)
Jim Biggins : "WELCOME EVERYONE TO THE NEVADA DESERT, WHERE THE END BEGINS TONIGHT!!!"
(The camera pans around the arena, showing the thousands of screaming fans. Several fans in the first deck are holding a huge "NOMAD" banner. Strange symbols cover the floors and walls of the arena. The camera pans over to show a strange golden, jeweled arch has been placed over the entryway. Larry Wunarme introduces Maxwell Potterdam III, who is seated ringside, surrounded by bodyguards. He appears to be enjoying himself)
Jim Biggins : "Tonight, 'The ICON' Rick Idol and Nomad will clash to bring their long running fued to a head!! We've already had to have security step between groups of Idol and Nomad fans several times tonight, and the show hasn't even started!!"
Buck Hammerstien : "Not to mention the titles that are on the line tonight!!"
JB : "And what about that strange arch? It was brought in sometime before the show started, but what does it have to do with the show? And check out Potterdam over there. He's never actually had a seat in the audience for a PPV before."
BH : "Maybe he has some special interest here?"
