Carrier Dome
Syracuse University Campus
Syracuse, New York
8/28/98
(The EFW theme starts and the collage of pics of the league stars fills the screen. 30,000+
screaming fans are packed into the dome. SU Banners and signs are all over. The fireworks begin
and the voice of our host Jim Biggins is heard)
Jim Biggins: “Welcome Syracuse, New York! The EFW is happy to bring you what will be a great show tonight including 2 title matches.”
(The crowd roars)
JB: “I’d like to introduce myself as well as my partner to the great New York fans who have
allowed us to bring the style that can only be found in EFW to the Syracuse University campus.
What a week for EFW fans everywhere! We’ve already seen the Cruiserweight Champ, X
treme Gangsta, get his revenge on BMF, Jr. as well as finally settle the unfortunate
situation surrounding his belt; Weehawk and Rebel battle it out to decide the #1 contender
for that Cruiserweight title; and Nomad not only defend his tag team title but capture the
EFW US Title belt also! Not to mention Vermin in his 2nd straight 3-of-5 match as he looks
to show he is truly a force as well as to put his personal demons to rest. And that was all
on Tuesday! Now with the spectre of the Lethal Lottery looming over us all, we’ll see some
terrific matchups tonight.”
(Buck comes down to the table and sits, adjusting his headset. He looks shaken)
JB: “I’m Jim Biggins and next to me is my partner Buck Hammerst-. Buck, what’s the matter?”
BH: “You see that Hannibal guy anywhere?”
JB: “No, why?
BH: “Cause I got these!”
(Buck pulls a box of chocolates from a bag. There is a note pinned to it. Jim opens the note. It shows a page from a Little Red Riding Hood book. The wolf is over Red in the bed saying “The better to eat you with.” Hannibal’s face is pasted on top of the wolf’s body and Buck’s is on top of Red’s body. At the bottom is handwritten “Eat up, Buck. I like sweets.”)
JB: “Uh, fans, here’s tonight’s lineup.”

Destructo vs. Hare Razer (World Title Match)
Bill Phillips vs. Pain
Leech vs. Shadow
Bane vs. Warpath
Bo Abobo vs. Genocide
Vengeance vs. Striker
Vermin/Nomad vs. The Evil Dead (Tag Team Title Match)
Bill Phillips
vs
Pain
Phillips came out on fire but made some rookie mistakes that Pain was able to capitalize on. Pain fell victim to early FOREARM SMASHES, and basic punch & kick moves but was always able to stay just far enough ahead to avoid a loss. Phillips was unstoppable with his power attack but his strategy had one hole big enough to drive a truck through...he never went for the win. Instead of pinning pain on the many times he had the vet weakened, he repeatedly went to dish out more pain. After 6 minutes of this Pain had seemed to have enough and Phillips stood over his abused opponent. The ref rolled close as Bill dropped to one knee but instead of going for the pin he began pounding Pain in the head! Maybe that was his version of a submission move. The ref broke it at the five count and Phillips rolled out of the ring looking for anything he could find. He swept the announcer's table clean and hefted it up but as soon as he turned back toward the ring he became the victim of Pain's SUICIDE PLANCHA! The weight of Pain and the table was too much for Phillips and he was crushed underneath the table. Now it was Pain's turn to come off. He rolled back in to break the count and then landed a 360 somersault from the top rope straight onto the table with Phillips still underneath! The table broke clean in half and Phillips rolled out from under the wooden mess. Pain then grabbed him and wrapped his arm through the guardrail into a distorted CRUCIFIX ARM HOLD. Letting go just in time to roll back in again and break the count, Pain returned to the outside where Phillips lay hurt. Bleeding heavily from wrist to elbow, Phillips was apparently sliced open from the table attack and Pain was taking advantage of it. He dragged Phillips back into the ring and assaulted the arm viciously. Never before was Pain so ruthless and Phillips was in a bad state. A touch past the 9 minute mark Pain hooked Phillips into a FIGURE FOUR and yanked on the arm The ref asked Phillips if he had had enough but Bill was too tough. He fought back and rolled it over on Pain. Pain grabbed the ropes and after separating, Phillips booted Pain right out of the ring. Climbing out after him they battled right up onto the ramp. The ref reached the 10 count at the same time as the bell rang so it was the EFW's first ever Count-out/Time Limit Draw. Another first for professional wrestling.
Bill Phillips and Pain fight to a Draw (10:00)
The two continued fighting all the way up the ramp and back into the dressing room. Phillips has made quite a debut here tonight.
Leech
vs
Shadow
Leech came down to ringside alone as once again Jigoku was found nowhere in the building. He immediately went after Shadow at the bell. Shadow got off numerous LEG TAKEDOWNS and this angered the zombie to no end. He abandoned his usual clawing and punching attack for a wilder animal attack pattern. Numerous chokes followed and Shadow repeatedly complained to the ref. Leech was warned but didn't really care. Shadow then decided to match Leech fury for fury. The two clashed at center ring in an awesome display of brawling. Not one block in maybe 20 punches was attempted as the two just wailed on each other. Leech was busted here and Shadow attempted a quick ARM GRAB. He whipped Leech to the post and followed up with a knee to the back. As Leech hung over the buckle, Shadow dragged Leech to the center and wrapped on the Fade To Black. The zombie had apparently punched himself out and even though he hissed and spit for close to 15 seconds just couldn't break the hold. The ref called it after Leech failed to respond to a third arm drop, despite the hissing of the zombie.
Shadow wins via Submission (Fade To Black) at 4:41
Bane
vs
Warpath
Bane took his usual saunter through the crowd and entered climbing the barricade instead of using the ramp. Warpath failed to show after being announced and the match was in jeopardy of being forfeit. As Bane reached for a mic, he got no further than "Warpath, don't be a chickensh--" before the HWA warrior came down the ramp with his mentor Marty the Mauler. Marty stopped on the ramp and ripped the camera out of the cameraman's hands as Warpath entered the ring. Marty then went down to the announcer's table and sat in while filming from there. Inside the ring it was a slow paced strategic battle. Bane used his usual cunning to keep the match close to the mat and Warpath mixed it up with a variety of high impact moves as well as basic ARM WHIPS and takedowns. As Marty repeatedly whipped the crowd into a frenzy screaming through the mic, Bane became more and more careless. He went after Warpath's right knee and ignored almost all else...except Marty. Every hold was sloppy, most being too close to the ropes and Warpath evaded any serious damage. As bane went in again, he received a kick right to the nose. Blood flew and Bane dropped to the mat. Warpath immediately wrapped on a CAMEL CLUTCH dead center yanking Bane's head up so far it looked like his neck would snap. Bane, fearing choking on his own blood, had to submit.
Result: Warpath wins via Submission (Camel Clutch) at 5:02
Marty simply laughed and threw the camera into the ring afterwards. "Bane, practice harder next time" was all he offered before accompanying Warpath back to the dressing room humming Another One Bites The Dust.
Bo Abobo
vs
Genocide
The crowd was looking for carnage here as Genocide had warned all week that he was delivering
a message tonight. Bo came to ringside looking more concerned for Bane as he helped him up
the ramp. Halfway up, Genocide jumped the railing and smashed Bo in the lower back.
Bane fell to the floor and the brawl was on. Genocide and Bo locked up and fought all
the way to the ring as medical attendants took care of Bane. Weehawk came out to help
and Vermin charged ringside. Genocide whipped Bo into the storming Vermin and rolled into
the ring casually resting against the far turnbuckle. The match had finally officially begun.
Vermin was furious but remained outside as Bo assured him it would be quick. Genocide calmly
walked to the middle of the ring calling Bo to fight and it began again. Bo concentrated on
blows to the midsection and middle back areas, attempting to weaken Genocide for his patented
suplexes. Genocide used a strange combination of EYE RAKES and even a modified Mandible Claw
that was very effective in drawing blood from Bo above the eye and from the mouth. Enraged,
Bo nailed a BELLY TO BELLY that sent genocide into the corner dazed. Bo then went for
revenge and tied Genocide upside down in the corner. As Genocide tried in vain to release
himself Bo landed a RUNNING BASEBALL SLIDE from the opposite corner then wrapped on a
HEADLOCK sliding out of the ring. Genocide's body was bent at an incredible angle as his feet
were still tied in. Bo continued to pull his head through the ropes and the ref reached a
7 count before Genocide was able to free himself and fall free. From here it went outside.
Bo first rolled in then rolled his stunned opponent out to the floor. An ELBOW DROP followed
by JUMPING DOUBLE KNEE PRESS had Genocide winded and helpless. Bo then picked Genocide up
and suplexed him onto the bare floor. He then rolled in and came back out to drag
Genocide in also. Following a ROLLING GERMAN SUPLEX Bo went for a casual pin and Genocide
came to life. He kicked out and as Bo sat there complaining of a slow count Genocide landed
a dropkick to Bo's back. He then hefted the suplex master into a quick TORTURE RACK but
turned it into a SAMOAN BACKDROP. This had Bo winded enough for Genocide to hoist him up
for his HEART OF DARKNESS POWERBOMB. A close 3 count followed and Genocide scored his victory.
Genocide wins via Pinfall (following Heart of Darkness Powerbomb) at 7:32
Vengance
vs
Striker
The other newcomer to the EFW was introduced to mixed reaction and even got jeers coming down the ramp in bare feet. Like Phillips before him, he was also facing a veteran tonight so the odds didn't look good. Once inside it was a good solid match. The bald Vengeance landed the quickest DDTs since Jake the Snake and Striker fought back with his own DDTs and SUPLEXES. No clear cut winner emerged through the first 5 minutes. Near the 7 minute mark Eazy T came down to ringside with Murray and sat in at the announcer's table. Eazy challenged Vengeance to show some guts if he wanted any chance of joining RWO and the green haired bruiser responded in full. Striker had just begun to take a lead in this grueling match when Vengeance reversed a BELLY TO BACK spinning around behind Striker. Even though he had little past history to scout, Striker had enough presence of mind to see his trademark finisher, the VENGEANCE BE, coming. He grabbed Vengeance's head and dropped into a JAW BREAKER that rocked him to the mat. Striker had taken the fall wrong though and was favoring his knee. Vengeance recovered incredibly fast and kicked the leg out from under the Vigilante. Eazy screamed "Kill him!" and Vengeance locked in a REVERSE STF that had Striker screaming. As Vengeance wrapped Striker's injured leg tighter and pulled the choke closer, Striker tapped out. A long hard fought victory for Vengeance. He left with Eazy T and Murray but never spoke a word.
Result: Vengeance wins via Submission (Reverse STF) at 9:12
Vermin/Nomad (c)
vs
The Evil Dead
Tag Team Title Match
The tag champs then came down to ringside. Nomad helped Striker to the back as the announcer
introduced them while Vermin waited in the ring for him to return. Nomad returned but there
was no sight of the zombies. Suddenly the lights went out and Jigoku’s creepy organ serenade
began to play. The crowd went nuts and it seemed the Dead were finally gaining fans.
The Match started off normal enough. Jigoku sent Parasite in to face Nomad. Nomad met the
zombie with no fear and laid in some hard OPEN HAND SLAPS and FOREARM SMASHES. After getting
no response he held out his hand in a test of strength. The crowd urged against it but Nomad
went ahead. parasite locked hands and tried to crumble Nomad’s fingers to powder. As Jigoku
started grinning Nomad fell back and catapulted the zombie into the corner where Vermin awaited.
The hulking Sicko wrapped on a BEARHUG from outside that crushed Parasite to the post. As the
ref began a 5 count Nomad slapped vermin’s hand, still clasped around Parasite’s back, making
him the legal man. The ref killed the count and again focused on the battle. However, no one
saw Fleshmonger enter from the opposite corner. Delivering a wicked ROLLING ELBOW to the back
of nomad’s head, he knocked the newly crowned US champ clear over the top rope where he crashed
to the floor unmoving. As the ref tried to get Fleshmonger out of the ring, Parasite spit a
reddish-brown mist into Vermin’s face. Vermin released his hold and dropped to the floor next
to Nomad trying to clear his eyes. Fleshmonger brushed the ref aside and picked up Parasite,
launching him right at Vermin before returning to his corner. Parasite flew through the ropes
and landed right on top of Vermin! This led to a choke hold and the crowd was in a frenzy.
Vermin began pulling on the zombie’s arms but couldn’t break the hold. Instead he rolled it
over and began pummeling Parasite. The count reached 8 before Parasite released the choke and
rolled into the ring and tagging in Fleshmonger, under the ref’s watchful eye. Vermin also
climbed up and in but as he stepped over the top rope Jigoku scrambled from beneath and jammed
his staff between the big man’s shoulder blades. The staff let out a bright spark and Vermin
stiffened and fell to the mat. Momentarily stunned, he was a prime victim for Fleshmonger as
he wrapped on a choke sleeper. The Sickos music came on and Bane & Weehawk came rushing to
ringside. But who would jump out from the crowd to stop them but...Marty & Devastation!
perhaps tuning up for the Lethal Lottery the Mauler and Devastation laid into the Sickos.
Back in the ring Vermin was once again up and around and getting it together.
Fleshmonger turned it into a brawl and kept the lefts & rights flying. With Nomad still lying
motionless outside Vermin turned it up a notch and rushed the zombie. A textbook FOOTBALL
TACKLE landed the zombie on his back with 7 1/2 feet of meanness over him. Vermin began his
own choke hold as Parasite walked the apron to come and help. Vermin quickly rolled out of
the way and uppercutted the zombie from the apron all the way to the railing! Parasite landed
and got his leg caught in the steel. Now Vermin picked up Fleshmonger and whipped him to the
post. The zombie smashed in and collapsed. Vermin then hung him upside down and tied his feet
in the ropes. Nomad moaned and began to stir here and slowly climbed back up as Vermin stood
kicking the zombie in the abdomen. As Fleshmonger fell to the mat vermin hoisted him by his
hair and trunks and rammed his shoulder into the opposite buckle before dropping him at
center ring. Turning back, he then tagged in Nomad who had seemed to get his bearings together.
Mimicking the zombies, vermin picked up Nomad and threw him at the fallen zombie. Nomad landed
right on Fleshmonger’s back with a DOUBLE KNEE PRESS and rolled him over. As the crowd
screamed for it, Nomad locked in THE DANGER ZONE and Fleshmonger kicked. Jigoku came around the
mat on Nomad’s side but Vermin saw him. Vermin raced around and grabbed the High Priest from
the back but as he grabbed his robes, there was nothing underneath! Holding the robes stunned,
Vermin picked through the rags in amazement. Jigoku then somehow climbed over the railing from
the crowd and rammed his staff again into Vermin’s back. Again and again the staff flared as
Vermin lay on the mat jerking. as the ref reached a three count and the bell sounded Nomad
released the hold and leapfrogged the ropes to his partner’s aid. Jigoku then scampered back
toward Parasite and Leech and Nomad decided not to pursue it.
Result: Nomad/Vermin win via Submission (Danger Zone) at 11:31
As Vermin lay spasming on the floor, Jigoku grabbed the mic and yelled "1 down, none to go!"
and left with his guardians. The Mauler and devastation returned to the back leaving Sick &
Sexy to tend to their injured comrade.

Destructo (c) vs Hare Razer
World Title Match
After a 5 minute intermission to clear the ring and restore order Destructo came down alone.
Hare Razer did also as per instructions from President Giove. OCJ, who was in the front row
from the previous fight was forced to leave ringside and return to the locker room. This
did not sit well with the psycho villain and 2 security guards fell victim to his onslaught
before he finally just left through the crowd. Inside, Destructo looked noticeably
pissed off at the delay and pointed to Hare Razer then the mat, signifying he was going down.
Razer simply hung his sickle from the buckle and stared at the champ. The bell sounded and
the two measured each other. Destructo was nowhere near the reckless approach that undid him
with Vermin and The Red Death stalked him unleashing vicious chops that kept Destructo at bay.
Once they did lock up Razer got the upper hand. Destructo tried his lifting moves way too
early and the 400 pound Razer used leverage to escape from every one. Destructo was totally
unprepared for Hare Razer's tactics as the RWO leader showed he was following the same pattern
that Vermin used and attacked Destructo's legs. Never before had Hare Razer used a low base
and it did show though. His clumsy LEG TAKEDOWNS worked but did no damage. He even attempted
what looked like the worst DRAGON SCREW LEGWHIP ever that must have had Murray wincing
in the locker room. Razer then began slowly reverting back to form after a FOOTBALL TACKLE
and some MOUNTED PUNCHES. Destructo could do little else but cover and wait for the ref to
break them. After the second time though, Destructo came alive. As Hare Razer went to mount
him again, Destructo reached up and raked the eyes. The sweat blinded Razer and Destructo
rolled out from under him and hooked on a shoulder claw. This was no problem for Hare Razer
to break but Destructo had planned that. As Hare Razer rolled out of it he rolled right into
Destructo's own mounted punches. Razer covered but took some vicious shots to the head.
Destructo then kicked Razer and rolled out of the ring. As he waited for the red clad giant
to come out after him, Hare Razer did as expected and went to climb out. Destructo charged
him and landed 2 shots to the forehead before hauling out through the ropes straight into
an IRON MAIDEN! he held in on for about 5 seconds before dumping Hare Razer back first onto
the steel railing. He then went in and got Hare Razer's sickle and slammed the hilt into
the prone Razer's head. The jumbotron showed Eazy T in the back running through the halls
toward the ring but Murray tackled him to the ground. Hare Razer had to make an honest
comeback here and Eazy would have sacrificed that just by stepping on the ramp. Back at
ringside Destructo had rolled Razer back into the ring and locked up. The Red Death came
alive enough to wrap on his DEATH EMBRACE but was too tired to cinch it in. Destructo
let loose another eye rake and whipped Razer to the ropes. As he came back Destructo caught
him and hoisted him into the Iron Maiden. Hare Razer roared but never quit fighting.
Just as Hare Razer was able to drape a foot over the top rope Eazy then charged down the
ramp with a chair and made it all the way to the ring before the ref saw him. As he waved
for the bell, Eazy unloaded with the chair and knocked the poor ref right over the ropes.
The bell sounded and as Destructo went to drop Razer he too caught a face full of metal.
Destructo fell to the mat and Eazy went berserk as Murray came down to ringside. Razer
grabbed Eazy and pulled him off of Destructo as the two had words. As the rest of the VA
came down the ramp Murray grabbed Eazy and they disappeared in the crowd. Hare Razer walked
the long way around the ring and retrieved his sickle. He never made a move toward the VA
and they never made a move towards him despite the hurled threats from Corruption.
Destructo wins via DQ at 8:12 remaining World Champion
(Note: Hare Razer actually gave in to Destructo's Iron Maiden but was scripted into a DQ)
Eazy met Hare Razer back at the dressing room but Hare Razer went immediately to the parking
lot and drove off leaving Eazy and Murray standing there.
Jim: “Well, this has been quite a week, quite a week indeed. The stalwarts of the league,
the Vigilantes, Sickos, The Dead, and Hare Razer all went down tonight. Nomad and Vermin,
however, have been on a tremendous streak of late despite the events suffered by their partners.
Some would say they are now their own team. Has Vermin chosen friendship over blood? Has Nomad
tired of carrying the Vigilantes? Eazy T has once again been vaulted into the spotlight by his
own actions as well as the actions of his fellow team members but is there trouble in paradise
here, also? The scene following our last match would suggest so.”
BH: “And let’s not overlook the skills demonstrated by the newcomers here. Phillips,
Genocide, & Vengeance showed they truly do have what it takes to survive, if not thrive,
in this league. I can’t recall ever seeing young blood this motivated.”
JB: “You’re right Buck, as usual. We are seeing the dawn of a new era in the EFW...but does
it come at the expense of those that have laid our foundation? The answer may not be
clear but I can guarantee that we are all in for quite a ride. For the entire EFW staff,
I’m Jim Biggins...”
BH: “And I’m Buck Hammerstein...”
JB: “Saying goodnight and we’ll see you next week for some more intense EFW action!”
