MFWL RAMPAGE 5/19/98 Sunny Bolt: This event was taped due to the business of the actions going on leading up to this weeks BLOCKBUSTER PPV, MFWL ARMAGEDDON!! Enjoy the card! Rebel va Dale Winters Rebel showed why he is a former champion. Many questioned how the J.O.B squad would be without El Cosmico, and we would find out here. The stronger but slower Winters found himself trying to chase Rebel down and tiring himself out. When he did catch Rebel though, he took advantage of it. One of his best moves was a nicely done short arm clothesline. He also managed to damage Rebel with a High Angle Backdrop which he seemed quite proud of. Winters would be hit quick with a Rock + Roll Powerbomb but still had enough fight to get out of it. BUT, as the match went on, Rebel began to take control. He tried all kinds of fancy pins, but Dale still kicked himself out of them. BUT then Rebel hit him with a TOP ROPE FRANKENSTEINER!! This would lead to Rebel doing a standing moonsault and pinning Winters for the three. WINNER: Rebel via pinfall in 5:03 Marty the Mauler vs The Red Death The sensational rookie vs. the challenger for the title at Armageddon. They traded a lot of stuff early on, neither man seemed to underestimate the other. Hare would go to town on Marty for awhile tho, smacking him around and bloodying him up. Blood filled Marty's eyes but he fought on, making constant efforts to make Red Death say I quit. But Death fought on, mounting Marty and pounding him repeatedly in the skull. Marty almost detached Hare's head with a short-arm clothesline. Marty maintained a pretty steady control from here on. Marty methodically worked Red Death over, especially the neck area. A brutal K Driller had the fans in awe and the Red Death fans in tears. He would come back once more tho, catching Marty in a deadly chokeslam, and then ANOTHER. At this point the match was several minutes in and the match would hit the floor when Red Death flung Marty outside. Marty sent Red Death flying into the ring post and then a crazed red death fan tried to leap off the guard rail at Marty only to be powerslammed! At this point all hell broke lose. Marty climbed back in, raising his arms triumphantly to the crowd. Vermin would get up out of the crowd then and throw off a big coat he had on. He grabbed the HWA title and nailed Marty with it in the back of the head! The ref would call for the bell and Vermin would powerbomb Marty and then stomp on the HWA belt and pratically destroy it. WINNER: Marty the Mauler via disqualification in 5:48 'Mr. Massacre' Kyle Magnum vs. Nightmare It was signed. A brutal test for two men. The proven superstar, Nightmare, vs the undefeated and confident Magnum. Nightmare, coming off a loss for only the second time in his career, came into this match like a ball of fire. He went to work on Kyle, hammering him, clotheslining him and slamming him around. Magnum would fire back tho. This virtual unknown came back and seemed to piece by piece pull Nightmare apart. Nightmare would be bloodied up after some nasty kneelifts to the face. Nightmare again would try to come back, but was too hurt after recieving a Magnum Calm Before the Storm, his trademark setup Screwdriver, and could not lift Magnum for the NeckCrusher. Nightmare would try to hook Magnum for a suplex, only to have it reversed into the Gravedigger. Nightmare did one thing we'd never seen before.... lose back to back matches. Just as Nomad fell lately, it seems Nightmare has as well. These once great champions.. are they already done? Or can they strike back, survive the odds and rise the rankings again. We can't question the heart of those two men, they will return somehow to the top. But for now, Magnum remains undefeated and in impressive fashion is knocking off the MFWL's best. Perhaps the Society packs more then just a mean speech. WINNER: Kyle Magnum via pinfall in 4:41 Steve Anthrax vs. Stevie Wonder MFWL US Title Tournament match This was one match you didn't want to miss. These two had been having words for awhile and this really became quite vicious. From the bell this one was a brawl, and both quickly started fighting on the outside. For the first minutes, it would be an even match with both men taking a lot of abuse. But, and there always seems to be a but with Anthrax doesn't there? Kyle Magnum strolled his way down to the ring. Anthrax would throw Wonder to the floor and then proceed to distract the ref. With the ref distracted, Magnum grabbed a bat from under the ring! He lined up the dazed Wonder and unloaded with it over his head, causing the wood to split and be flung all over the outside! The Navy Seals would then start running down but at this point the Pirates ran out behind them and then ended up brawling before they could get to the ring. Magnum rolled the downed Wonder into the ring where Anthrax applied his Human Torturelock to gain a win, however controversial it may be. WINNER: 'Good Stuff' Steve Anthrax via submission in 5:03 Evil Dead vs. Navy Seals NO DQ, NO ROPE CHECK These rules seemed MADE for the Dead who were constantly resorting to biting and other tactics which are normally illegal. The Seals tho did also use it so they start using their sickle to scrape the faces of the Dead and a fork of all things. This one was CONSTANTLY a 4 man in the ring match, so much so it could ALMOST be mistaken for a tornado battle match. This would prove to reduce tags since all the men were basically being beat down. The Dead were doing every dirty trick in the book in an attempt to pick up a win before their title shot against the New Age Pirates at Armageddon. It was unknown what would turn this match around in either direction. It was then that we would find out. Nomad came down to the ring, apparently looking to just scout out his future opponents. But Nick grew very suspicious of this and went to go shove him a bit outside the ring while Dick was fighting. The ref would come outside in an attempt to stop a possible fight, but inside the ring he seemed to forget one was going on. Jigoku Rabbit had a trick up his sleeve, giving Fleshmonger a large staff which he jabbed into the throat of Dick Marcinko. He then proceeded to tag Parasite, altho the ref was outside this whole time and saw none of this. Parasite came in and wrapped on the hanging tree and the ref came in to find Marcinko unconcious. It seems Nomad and The Seals have some definate heat as the Navy Seals are said to be blaming not only the dead but Nomad for this loss. WINNERS: The Evil Dead via submission in 6:21 DOUBLE MAIN EVENT, PART 1 Shadow(c) va Little OC Murray Murray came out and started fast, with a quick and painful body slam. He gave a crotch chop, and promptly got kicked right in the boner by Shadow. From that moment on, Shadow dominated the match. Kicks, elbows, strikes, everything was connecting. It seems like Murray was one step behind for the whole match. Murray managed to get a thumb in the eye of Shadow to slow the pace down. He connected with some of his more powerful moves, a few suplexes and some punches. But then Shadow came to life once more, landing a hard kick to Murray's temple. At this point, Eazy-T and SychoOCJ ran down to ringside. Eazy jumped up on the apron and distracted the referee while Sycho slipped Murray a lead-filled sap glove. Shadow walked over to the ropes and kicked Eazy-T off the apron. When he turned around to to face Murray, Murray swung at Shadow with the sap glove! But he missed! Shadow ducked the punch and delived his devestating diamond cutter! He floated over Murray's back and slapped on the Fade to Black. Eazy was back up, thanks to the help of OCJ, but it was too little too late. Shadow d. Murray via FADE TO BLACK in 4:42 DOUBLE MAIN EVENT, PART 2 Nomad va Eaxy-T "I'm your b*tch' match Eazy-T wanted to make this match into a street fight. He came out early and just brawled: knees, punches, etc. Nomad would have none of that though, and quickly turned it around with the techinical expertise that earned him the heavyweight title. Nomad went for a pin early, only to have the referee pull him off and remind him that it was a submission-only match. Nomad went back to the attack, and went up to the top ropes for an elbow drop. Eazy got up and shook the top rope, causing Nomad to fall crotch first on the top turnbuckle!! Eazy walked over and climbed the ropes, going for a second-rope suplex. Nomad, though, was coming out of the pain and layed some shots into Eazy's face. Eazy fell back to the mat, but remained on his feet. What happened next was simply amazing, as Nomad came off the top ropes and hit Eazy with a SWINGING DDT!! Both men were down, but Nomad managed to lock on the Danger Zone!! Then it happened. The RAG and 3 masked men came running out from the back. The 3 masked men stayed by the door while the rest of the RAG ran to ringside. But they didn't jump in the ring. They grabbed Jazz. Jazz fought back, but it was one valet versus two wrestlers, so you know the result. Nomad could not hear her scream because the crowd was going crazy over the Danger Zone being put on Eazy-T. The Vigilantes tried to save her, but as soon as they hit the entrance they got jumped by the 3 masked men who were apparently waiting for them. Sycho and Murray, with Jazz on their shoulders, jumped the guardrail and headed for the parking lot. The three masked men ran with after them. Scorpion and Rebel tried to follow but the RAG had a good head start. Striker headed for the ring to alert Nomad, who still had Eazy-T locked into the Danger Zone. Striker explained what happened, and Nomad went berserk. He took off over the guardrail and out of the arena, but the RAG were already gone. Eazy-T layed on the mat and laughed. WINNER: Nomad via submission in 3:49 Let's all hope that the RAG don't harm Jazz. SEE YA AT INFERNO AND ARMAGEDDON!!!
