INFERNO 5/14/98 Fleet Center Boston, MA Tony Calvoni: Welcome fans to another action packed night of MFWL Inferno wrestling. I'm Tony Calvoni, here with Barry Zybrosco and Mike Tenacious. Barry Zybrosco: Let's get to it, Calvoni! There's to much action going on tonight! Let's get things started. Mike Tenacious: That is true, guys! Tonight's main event will pit the rugged champion, Destructo, against the MFWL's first World Champion, Nightmare. Nightmare has only lost once, to Nomad. This is his first chance to regain the title since his loss. BZ: Well, mark Nightmare down for loss number 2! Destructo is gonna treat Nightmare like he's never been treated before. He'll rip the former champ to shreds. TC: Well, we're going to start the night off with a double dose of the Job Squad. Our first matchup will be Jigoku Rabbit vs. El Cosmico. Jigoku Rabbit vs. El Cosmico Man, was this one a quicky. It might have beat the record for fastest win (I don't quite remember what that was...I know Hare Razer does!) Rabbit just OWNED this match from the get-go. He hit El Cosmico with an entire arsenal of technical moves in just the first minute. A small package at a minute and a half secured a win for the Evil One. Winner: Jigoku Rabbit by Pinfall at 1:38 (a critical of course!) Dale Winters vs. Lil OC Murray Dale and Cosmico are from the same Squad, and ironically they suffered the exact same result. Murray poured it on hard! Winters has able to execute a couple basic moves, but Murray shocked him with a small package for the three count. Winner: Murray by Pinfall at 1:47 (seriously, the exact same result...a critical small package) U.S.Title Tournament Match Bo Abobo vs. Eazy T These two have fought twice before. Their third encounter was just as ferocious as the first two. Easy T had the upper hand at the onset of the match. He seemed more interested in humiliating Bo than beating him. T would slam Bo to the mat, then climb on top of him and slap him across the face numerous times. After a vicious clothesline by T, Bo was spat on and kicked in the ribs "gangsta" style. The scene resembled more of a mugging than a wrestling match. Bo took a beating for a good four minutes before something inside of him snapped. Abobo managed to settle Easy T into a flase security, but once he pounced, T was totally defenseless. Suplex upon suplex was dished out to Easy T, each a different style. After over a minute of punishment, Bo went for the dreaded Bo Plex. But before the referee could make a three count, Murray and SychoOCJ stormed the ring and broke up the pinfall. The ref called for the bell, but was soon tossed from the ring by Murray. The three R.A.G.'s triple teamed Bo...that is until Vermin arrived on the scene. A choke slam for Easy T....a piledriver for Murray....and the feared 187 Powerbomb for SychoOCJ! The R.A.G.'s made a hasty retreat, but the damage had been done. Bo had to be carried back to the dressing room by Vermin. Result: Bo Abobo by DQ at 5:21 ELECTRIFIED STEEL CAGE MATCH Hare Razer vs. Kyle Magnum Everyone waited with intensity for the blood bath that was about to ensue. As soon as the bell rang, these two behemoths clashed with reckless abandon! Magnum drew first blood a minute in to the matchup. A hard, face-first, throw into the cage drew a deep cut into Hare Razer's forehead. But The Red Death battled on. The blood only enraged him further, as he landed two Avalanche Slams on the big Magnum. Without any DQ rule in effect, Razer pulled out his sickle and began to carve up Magnum's face. Kyle was quick to retreat, but not before a gash on his own face became apparant. Both wrestlers were slow in their manner. The blood that poured from each of their faces quickly took away their energy. After six minutes of mayhem, Hare Razer looked to end it. He wrapped The Death Embrace on Magnum, but miraculousy Kyle was not ready to give up. Instead, he bulldozed Razer hard into the electrified cage. Both men suffered the effects of massive electrocution, but it was The Red Death who got the brunt of it. With his opponent dazed, Magnum was easily able to execute the Grave Digger, knocking Hare Razer into near unconciousness and grabbing the three count. Result: Kyle Magnum via Pinfall at 6:47 U.S. Title Tournament Match Go Dawg vs. Fool Killer Though winless, Fool Killer hoped to make his mark tonight. Passing this first round match would take him one step closer to the U.S. Title. But Go Dawg had plans of his own. Dawg is looking to make a name for himself as he looks to be the MFWL's rookie sensation. Fool Killer tried early on to wear down the Dawg, but Dawg had too much momentum to let Fool Killer's plans to go to far. The match quickly turned into a street fight as Go Dawg hammered relentlessly on every part of FK's body. Knees to the gut and jaw, kicks to the stomach and face, not to mention some vicious mount punching. It seems FK was not prepared to defend against such a strategy. His only hope was to do as much damage to Go Dawg's arm, setting it up for his arm bar finisher. And FK looked like he was going to be successful, right up until the pinnacle moment when he wrapped on his self-title finisher. But when both wrestlers hit the mat, Go Dawg slipped out of the finishing hold! Caught by surprised, Fool Killer allowed Go Dawg to go-behind on the mat and wrap on the Wave Length. Caught inb the center of the ring, FK was force to submit, losing the match, his chance at his first win, and his desire to become the first MFWL U.S. Champion. Result: Go Dawg via Submission at 5:00 The New Age Pirates vs. The Masters Never before have I seen one team hand out such systematic punishment. The Pirates graced the MFWL with a true showing of what Tag-Team Champions should be. Frequent tags, constant double teams, and well-timed interference and pin saves, sealed the fate of The Masters. It seemed like the masked ones could just not get it going. Cortez and Cruz were relentless in their assualt. They managed to keep each member of The Masters in their grip for much longer than each should have stayed in the ring. It wasn't long before Cruz had wrapped on the Neck Extender for the win. Result: The New Age Pirates via Submission at 4:57 But it was the after match antics that shocked the crowd. As soon as the bell rang, the Navy Seals...yes with Wonder, rappelled from the rafters and attacked the Pirates once again, this time with baseball bats. Nick and Dick taunted the Pirates...wearing their Tag Team Title belts around their waists. But before any serious damage could occur, Nomad (of all people) jumped the ringside fence and snuck up behind Wonder. Wonder never saw Nomad's reverse DDT coming! After dispatching Stevie, Nomad grabbed his bat and whacked the other two Seals from behind. With Nick and Dick layed out, Nomad grabbed both belts and gave them back to their rightful owners, The New Age Pirates. After grabbing a microphone, Nomad had this to say... NOMAD: Seals!!! That was for the way you attacked me and cost my bud, Striker, his chances at the U.S. Gold on Rampage. Just know that I am NOT going to stand for your antics anymore!!! And Pirates...you guys are the best team going by far. Even though I don't like ya, those belts belong around your waists. But I wouldn't be getting in the middle of this whole fiasco if I wasn't looking for something. I'm looking for a tag match. If the Pirates are generous, they'll put the gold on the line. If not, I'll settle on taking out The Seals once and for all. And don't worry about me getting a partner. I'm sure I can easily get someone to step into the ring by my side, whether it be a fellow Vigilante or not. You give me a match, and I'll come up with a partner. I'll be waiting to hear a response from each of you. (Nomad drops the mic and walks up the aisle to the dressing room. Though stunned, the crowd cheers him on.) TC: Well, isn't that a shocker! Nomad's looking for a tag match, and he sure went through a lot of trouble to get it. It will be interesting to see what The Pirates and The Seals have to say about this one. I can only assume that with Striker's chances for the U.S. gold out of his grasp, that the two Vigilantes will resort back to days of old and once again become tag partners to take on the opposition. I'll be waiting to see how this one is going to unravel. Fans, get ready for the main event... MAIN EVENT MFWL World Title Match Nightmare (challenger) vs. Destructo (champion) Destructo was quick to start this one, as he attacked Nightmare from behind when the former champ began working the crowd. Destructo laid three straight body slams on Nightmare, before dropping a big elbow drop and attempting a cover. But Nightmare kicked out after only a one count. The masked one tried to rally, but was met by a boot to the stomach, followed by a piledriver! Destructo was just on fire! A throw into the corner by Destructo, followed by a charging clothesline. Nightmare crumbled to the mat. Destructo picked up the former champ, only to lay him back down with a powerslam. A cover....1....2....kickout. You could tell Nightmare was getting upset. He finally mustered some offense, catching Destructo in a body slam of his own, picking the big man back up, then sending him back to the mat with a shoulder breaker. Next, Nightmare attempted a throw to the ropes, but it was reversed and Nightmare instead fell vitim to a press slam! It was unbelievable, as nobody has EVER treated Nightmare like this. The whole situation caught Nightmare totally off gaurd, and for the first time in his MFWL career, Nightmare seemed just plain helpless. It would be Destructo who claimed the rest of this match. He layed out power moves on Nightmare for a straight two minutes before putting the masked superstar up in his Iron Maiden backbreaker. It was then that we heard three words that we never thought we'd hear come out of Nightmare's mouth.....I GIVE UP! Yes, sad but true. Destructo just plain ran over Nightmare and nobody could believe it. Destructo dumped Nightmare over the top rope, and gave a huge shout that could be heard all the way out in the parking lot. Without any after match show-boating or posing, Destructo grabbed his World Title belt, and made his way back up the aisle. Result: Destructo by Submission at 4:57 TC: (mouth dropped wide open, and mometarily speechless)............Fans.....I don't know what to say...............I can't believe Destructo made such easy work of Nightmare. I thought I'd never see the day......Wow....I don't know what else to say. This one will definitely go down in the record books. Fans.....wow.....we'll see you next week..... (Guys, you just had to see this one to believe it. I ran it two days ago and I'm still in shock. Well, let's get those challenges going. Before you know it, Armageddon will be upon us...)
